Guess What Lovies??

I have copied a post from the Kitty Bee Designs webpage ~ we need more team members!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kitty Bee Designs DT Call
This is a minimum 4-month commitment beginning September 2017.  You are, however, welcome to jump in as soon as you are ready.  We are a VERY laid back team and know you will have a lot of fun with us and feel very welcomed by our fellow DT members!
Our challenges post every other Friday and run for a full 2 weeks.  The in-between Friday is a mid-inspiration post day.
Requirements:
o     Create 2 projects a month:
  •      1 challenge project following the challenge theme to be shared on the Challenge blog.  This project needs to be uploaded to our private DT blog (2) days before your assigned post (challenge or mid-inspiration) goes live.  Our challenges run every 2 weeks so there may be a month where you will be required to create 2 projects.
  •      1 spotlight project showcasing an image from Kitty Bee Designs per month to be showcased on the KBD blog.  You will schedule your own spotlight project on the KBD blog, so have a bit more flexibility with the timing of this one, as long as you post it in the AM of your posting day.  The only requirement for this project is to use a KBD image.  Other than that, anything goes.
  • o   Participate in new-release parties/blog hops for Kitty Bee Designs when applicable.
o    Have a Facebook account (this is where our DT chats and where I post our files and sponsor images).
o    Have a personal blog to post about each new challenge/mid-challenge inspiration, and link back to the Aloha Friday Challenges.
o    Post your DT badge on your blog’s sidebar.
o    Comment on your assigned numbers. (no more than 2)
o   Vote on the DT top picks at the end of each challenge. (every 2 weeks)
o    Promote Kitty Bee Designs wherever you can!  Social media encouraged but not required.
Benefits:
o     You will be provided with a wide range of images from KBD and other sponsors to work with and use not only for our challenges, but on projects for yourself and other challenges.
o     Your name and blog link will be displayed on the Kitty Bee Blog.
How to apply:
Email DT coordinator kel: KittyBeeChallenges@gmail.com with:
1.   Your name & location
2.   Your blog address plus any social media links you'd like to share and/or use regularly.
3.   A list of your current DT responsibilities
4.    (3) of your best recent creations (either uploaded to the email or linked to your blog)
This DT call is open to everyone - international applicants welcome, no previous design team experience necessary.  The call will stay open through August 5th or until all spots have been filled.
Fab Fabric and Lace
Oh guys! I am so happy with this little journal!
This is also for a swap at the Junk Journal Junkies FB group. I think I will need to re-create this one for myself!
The cover is canvas that I coffee stained and stamped with my rubber stamps. I layered lace and other trims on it.
I like to print my ephemera on either card stock or regular paper and then I sew it onto a coffee stained paper backing.
I made this flower from some of the baked parchment paper. Have I ever mentioned how much I love the crinkly sound of baked papers and glassine?? LOL
The sheet of music you see in the background is from an ooold 1903 hymnal booklet I found at an estate sale.
You can't see it here, but I added Wink of Stella here on the month image! It's so pretty.
Here's some more of the baked parchment paper I turned into a flower.
The page on the left is part of a digital journal kit from Tsunami Rose. Under the vintage button on the right, is part of an old sewing pattern I tore up.
Here I made a large "glassine" bag out of more baked parchment paper and it goes thru the "spine" and there's a pocket on the other side too.
This was the 1st time I decoupaged part of a napkin into a journal. I used an A2 envelope here and as you can see below, I glued it to the page backwards so when you open it you can hide stuff inside the envelope.
I added a large print out of an old magazine cover to hide the envelope flap, it was less than attractive for sure.
Here's another page from the Tsunami Rose kit I purchased. I adore my little clothes pins, I've stained those too.
Here's the center of the journal. It's a 3-hole pamphlet stitch into the cover. I added little glitter paper hearts to the  end of the heavy duty thread I bound it with.
I sewed a torn page to a book page to create a full sized pocket and I tucked an antique postcard inside. The rose is an image from Pinterest that I fussy cut and used foam tape to add to the page creating a beautiful tuck spot.
Here's an altered paperclip, I used fabric and lace and trim and sewed it to the clip.
Here's the "other"side of the homemade glassine bag.
Another beautiful page of the Tsunami Rose kit, love her work!
Squeeeee, more baby clothes pins!
Added more fabric, making a little gathered embellishment.
Love this retired Stampin Up sentiment! Here's another free rose image I fussy cut.
I used an old Sizzix die to cut out book page flowers to layer here on top of a pocket I cut out from an file folder.
The end.
Here's a picture of all the inserts I made to place thru out the journal. Like I said, I am soooo addicted!
Steampunk Music of Time
~ WARNING ~  30 pictures to follow ~
Hi friends ~
Just wanted to share a few pictures of a journal I finished up just this afternoon. I made it as part of the That's So Penny Design Team. She's still looking for a few more DT Members, check out the deets here. Let her know I told you to come on over.
I used the "Steampunk Music of Time" kit. The fabric is from my collection of fabric scraps. The journal is a 7" x 5" and this one has 21 papers / 42 pages. I used a hanging folder as the base with fabric layered canvas as the inner and outer cover. The stamped images are a mix of stamps I've collected over the years.
Part of my kitty face here ~ lol
Phew - that was a lotta pics to sit thru huh? Thanks for taking the time to look at my journal. I love doing these. Hope to see you again soon.
Thanks for stopping by!
