Happiness update!

I got some super happy mail this morning! My spiral binders came in, so I was able to start making my scrapbook journals I plan on putting into my Etsy Shop. Squeeeeee They are coming together oh so nicely and I am pleased.

Noooowwww ~ please forgive my pictures. They are far from professional, it's just I couldn't not share. I have decorated the outer tabs, and some of the inside too. When I make them to sell, they will very much like this with a hidden spiral binding.

I know the front doesn't look like much, but once it's embellished it will be marvelous! The "P" is an absolute gem of a find - sign board letters, numbers and punctuation Loooove them!. Another squeeeeeeee!

Like I said, please forgive the less than professional pics - you can see my little kitty Chemmies playing Vanna White (LOL.) I am beside myself with joy - the journals are so making me smile!

I also received the 1st shipment of product to package for the shop, ATG gun tape refills. I placed my 1st Scor-Pal order and I am working on another big deal or two! I can't contain myself you guys!!

Soooo, I will make a formal announcement once I have my inventory ready to put into my shop. I am hopeful I should  be ready to load a good bit in 2 weeks.

Thanks so much for being part of my blog and my journey. Watch my blog for upcoming announcements and maybe even a grand opening coupon!

Raining Cats & Dogs

Well hello there!

Today after running errands I was able to come home and make a few cards for a swap I am in at Splitcoast Stampers. Raining Cats and Dogs. I decided to split my cards 3 cats and 3 dogs. I decided to keep the layout the same only changing the image and papers. Funny, when I took the pic I saw the little puppy paw print banner is just a wee bit wonky. Guess, I'll see if I can adjust it.

My images and papers are digital. I used my Copics, dies, bling and a little Wink of Stella. I put a little glitter on the colorful bits on both cards.

I have been feverishly working on my GDT projects for and those will be posting those each Saturday here at on the Scribbles Design Challenge Blog, so keep an eye out for them. While you're at it, you might as well give the challenges a try! You can win wonderful prizes!!

Ribbit

Hello ~

Took a little time to post some of the items I've been coloring. After not using my Copic's for almost a year, it's like starting all over again! So, I've printed a bunch of images out to practice at night while I watch TV with my fam. It'll still take more time, always learning & growing.

I also decided it'd be the perfect time to learn how to manipulate digital images with more proficiency. It's super fun to build images. The digi images are from Pixel Paper. I placed the frog on the lily pad and then I split the butterflies up (as they were one image) then I flipped one, repositioned them and then regrouped the altered images. I will never go totally digital, but I will be trying more moving forward!

Not sure why this card look so very washed out. I'm trying to learn the filters in my photo program and on PicMonkey, but am having troubles with that... more to learn! But when you stop learning, your brain dies!

Little Spring Birds

I adore hearing all the little birds each spring. It simply makes my heart smile, or should I have said soar?? I like to leave my windows open to listen to their calls too.

I got lucky this month and have been able to create a few projects featuring these little guys. I will share one with you now and once I've finished my other project I'll share that one too.

This card was created for a swap I am in at SCS with these two swaps in mind. It was like the perfect month that they all were the same theme!

I used cardstock from Michaels, the pattered paper is old Penny Black. I used a deckled rectangle die to cut out Copic colored digi image from Sami Stamps. The tag is a retired SU small oval whale tail punch. The sentiment is SU too. The twine and pink bling are Hobby Lobby. And I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the pink spots.

New Goodies in Shop!

Hello my friends!

I want to share with you some exciting news but 1st, let me tell you I've added a few little goodies to my Etsy Shop. Right now it's just some play felt food I created as a special order and sadly the customer had to withdraw. So, in an effort to not "eat" my own felt food - I thought I'd offer it up in sets. You can click the link on the right side bar and go straight to my shop. Here's one of the sets I'm offering up - yummy!

Now, for the exciting news!!

I have secured my place as a ScorPal retailer!!  I am also working on applications with two other very large, well-known companies that provide high quality cardstock, stamps, adhesive, tools, dies, embellishments, pattern papers, etc.! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself! I will keep you updated with the progress and when I start adding items to my shop.

Sweet Gifts

Well, I've not been able to craft much this week. I've got a sick Wildman at home. I picked him up from school early on Friday for a low grade fever and it's not getting any better! Took him to the doctor yesterday and she said it was the flu. He'll be home until he's fever free for 24 hours. The way it's looking it's gonna be all week!! He's so dang pitiful!!

Today while he was sleeping I decided to make a little purse to hold some matching cards. Well, the purse turned out waaay larger than I envisioned. So, I decided I'll get a bag of hard candy to put inside with the cards.

Okay, I used basic cardstock, pattern papers from my stock and stash. The stamped images and sentiments are from Stampin Up: Wacky Wishes, Endless Birthday Wishes, Flower Shop and Petite Petals. The leaf die and embossing folder are SU too.

Added SU taffeta ribbon here and popped the white circle up on foam tape.

I used my MISTI to stamp the flowers down the side of this card front. I stamped the black 1st and the yellow last.

The purse didn't even fit well where I always take my blog pictures so the handles are cut off a bit, but you get the idea. The white enamel dots I made 2 at home from the pearlier beads. That was a very fun project and the few I made have lasted a loooong time! I should make some more even tho I don't need them, it was that much fun!

Okay, I am gonna close up and check on Wildman and dinner. Have a roast in the crockpot and beans on the stove. Can you say YUM?!

Another day, another kitty

Hello to you ~

I posted the other day a pic of one of my sweet kitties sleeping on my computer. Well, here's another kitty from earlier today.

Obviously my kitties know something I do not know. I think when nobodies home I'm gonna give it a try! This sweetie is Chemmies, Chemmers, Chimaney Cricket, Chim Chim Cha Ree, he has about 1000 names really. He's the silly one of the bunch and is such a lovie!

So, with his help today, I was ale to create a few 3D gifty items for upcoming needs. I plan on filling this cute little bunny with treats for my son, who, BTW, has been home with a low grade fever ALL weekend and today! :sad face: Maybe I should I fill it up now to cheer him up.

I copied a tutorial from MayMay Made It on YouTube. But, there are a ton of tutes all over the web for this little bunny and many variations of. It was super easy and such fun to decorate.

This cute little box I made for my daughter. Yes, hopefully you will get the joke of me stamping "best mother ever" as I made it and am giving it to my child. I giggled the whole time I was creating it! I have filled with a nice spring colored nail polish and will be sending it with her Easter goodies in a few weeks.

This squatty, chubby little milk carton is just the cutest! I followed a tute from YouTube and can I just say, I looove making 3D items. They are such fun. I haven't really decided what I will put inside or who I will give it to yet. Maybe I'll just keep it on my desk to make me smile.

So, I guess Wild Man will be home again tomorrow as his fever is still too high for school, but to low for the doctor to have him come in without any other real symptoms. They say it just needs to run it's course. Ugh!

I just had to post this...

I am working at my craft table today. I go to eat the pizza hubby had reheated for us and this is what I came back to. My sweet little helper Little Momma (aka Purrcilla.) I adore this little kitty. She's got the tiniest little meow and she's my buddy. Thankfully I had gotten done with this Christmas card before she took up residence on my laptop, cuz I didn't have the heart to move her! So I went and worked on laundry until she moved...

She slept there for a little over an hour. Now that she's moved to the sunny window, I can share her pic and this card.

I used a 2 Cute Ink image, SU patterned paper and Hobby Lobby cardstock. I am out of all my great SU cardstock. It's very sad! They do make high quality papers. Annnd since losing Archiver's I have no where to get great papers! The snowflake under the under the image is from a large pack I picked up from Michael's 2 years ago.

Just a little family portrait

I am still working on my Christmas cards and will be thru the 1st of November. I figure it's so much easier to do a bit at a time. By doing it little by little I can also take time to try new things. Shoot it's just so much more fun taking my time.

I've seen these split front cards on Pinterest so I decided I'd try my hand at one. I created this one with challenge in mind. It's part of Santa's family of course!

The images are from ABM Illustrations. The paper is Bo Bunny and I used Copics and Wink of Stella. You know a card's a winner when your hubby inspects how the front panel is held together and hands it back to you with a real smile! He said "I really like this one, Boo!" Yeah, he's a keeper.

Fabulous Friday!

Welcome to the weekend my friends ~

I have recently unpacked my Cricut and decided I really need to use it more and learn all it can do. I had an original Cricut when they 1st came out and lemme tell you I wore that thing out! Knew that machine inside and out (so did my son, at the time he was like 3.) Then I decided to sell it and get the 2nd machine they put out... I used it but not as much and certainly didn't know it 1/2 as well as I did the 1st machine. Then like an idiot I decided a Silhouette would be so much better. I sold all my 80+ cartridges, the machine and all the mats and tools AND my Cricut Gypsy for next to nothing! I'm still kicking myself for that ever so silly decision!  End result, didn't like the Silhouette and sold it, then I bought the Cricut Explore Air. (See why I soooo regret selling all my other Cricut goodies?!) I've had it for a bit and have used it here and there, but hadn't really invested the time required to leearrrrrn it. So today that changed....

I made these two cards using my sweet little machine. I actually made these cards for 2 wonderful ladies. And me ever being the rebel - wanting to look at something in just a different way, I created the 1st card as a Birthday Gift Thank You card and not an actual Birthday card for the Cut It Up challenge. I added tiny little pearls to the centers of the flowers and to the sentiment. I'm gonna plop it in the mail today.

My next cute little card is for the Kitty Bee Aloha Friday challenge. It's harder to see but, the card front is actually a floral cut out! It's super pretty and behind it I decided to add a bright floral pattern paper to peek out from the floral cut out design. I colored a wee little bear (whos holding flowers) to a blue mat. I popped it up from the card front. I also added Wink Of Stella to his little pink ears, nose and heart and again to his little flowers. I really love this card bunches!!

I had a blast watching a few YouTube vids on the Explore Air and know without a doubt, I will be using this machine a lot more moving forward!

Reindeer Games

Good Morning -

I am on a roll with a few Christmas goodies. I had a great time creating these two treat boxes. I will hide them away to use come holiday season.

My 1st box will hold a good bit. The image I used is a cling stamp purchased at Michael's while on clearance.  The card stock and pattern paper is from SU. I used a bit or twine and Copics.

My 2nd box is just too cute, I think. Paper is SU and the image is Lawn Fawn. You can 't tell it but his little gift is on a pop dot. I used Copics to give him a bit of color. The ribbon is seam binding I bought yeeears ago from Etsy. I can't wait to put a little gifty inside this Christmas. When I created him I thought of my Daughter.

Merry Christmas!

Yep - I am getting started now for this years Christmas cards! Call me crazy, but this way I can have fun, try new things and not stress over getting enough completed to mail on time.

I figure while I'm at it I might toss my hat in the ring for a few challenges here and there.

I have never created a sunburst card and I was very surprised at just how easy it was. I used a few double sided paper scraps, an adorable snowman from AMB Illustrations and Copics to ink him up. I believe all the papers are retired SU DSPs. I know black isn't really ever thought of as a holiday color, but I really wanted the papers to pop. I think it worked. I am working on a few other holiday cards, once they are done I'll let cha see.
